A POWERFUL SERVICE-LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Every day of the year Outreach360 serves impoverished children with limited opportunities for progress through our dynamic education programs driven by our creative and enthusiastic volunteers. We believe in the power of human potential and that together we can change the world. But, lasting change doesn’t happen overnight! It happens when passionate volunteers come together and work to create a better future for all. At Outreach360, we create a safe, affordable, and exciting way for high school groups to join our cause in transforming the world and giving children a life of choice.
Education continues to be an inaccessible right to millions of children around the world. We’ve seen what a lack of opportunities means to children and their futures and that is why we are passionate about creating a transformed world where all children can grow up to live a Life of Choice. We provide a learning experience like no other to our students so that they can dare to dream of a future entirely their own. Your High School team will play a major role in helping us bring education to underserved children!
We are looking for High School teams interested in joining us for a volunteer experience of a lifetime! We offer a safe and affordable way for volunteer teams to share the power of service together and make a lasting impact in the world. Our program is high-energy year round, and your time with us will be filled with direct service, educational and cultural activities. Register your High School team to join us in Nicaragua or the Dominican Republic and start transforming the world today!
We are currently working in two of the safest Latin American countries: the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. For over 20 years we have been serving alongside the friendly people of the Dominican Republic. Your High School volunteer team will enjoy a week of experiencing the Dominican’s vibrant culture. Since 2010, we have been serving in Nicaragua, which is said to be the safest and poorest country in Central America. Working high in the coffee growing region of Nicaragua, Your Alternative Break Team will fall in love with Jinotega’s mountain scenery.
Outreach360 is a non-profit organization working to provide educational opportunities to underserved areas of Latin America since 1994. We are a recognized leader in international volunteering and volunteer internship opportunities with alumni of over 22,000 volunteers. In short, your next service-learning team will transform the world while bonding and making memories that matter!
I have volunteered with Outreach360 four times and each time I feel like I learn something new. Outreach360 and the children it serves have taught me about the meaning and impact of service, about gratitude and leadership, about passion and love. The smile on the faces of the children as they explore the value of learning are what brings me back to Outreach360 time after time. I always leave feeling as is I have received from the kids even more than I gave to them.Anna Boyd, Saint Stephens Episcopal School
Outreach360 continues being a wonderful and powerful program. I love that my students get a different perspective of life and that they do not only teach ¨English¨ to the kids from Jinotega, but the kids from the Learning Center also teach them valuable life lessons.Mariangela Asato, Seabury Hall School
Much like a prospective parent can never know what it is REALLY like to have a child until he or she holds his own in his arms, one cannot believe the impact the Outreach360 experience can have on a person until he or she has been involved. It broadens perspectives about the world, humbles people and teaches invaluable lessons about grit and perseverance. The program leadership is exceptional and young people could not have better role models to learn from. You will experience incredible fun, but it won't be traditional fun. The food rocks and cold showers feel amazing in 95 degree weather. I now understand how lives are changed by taking part in the Outreach360 experience.Jennifer Scott, College Counselor, Norfolk Academy, Virginia
The organizational planning and service oriented staff did an incredible job of setting expectations, offering leadership and guidance. The week schedule combined the volunteer work, the cultural classes and the right amount of free time. I appreciated the cultural classes in the evening! The Nicaraguan children were the highest highlight! They loved coming to class and that reflects well on Outreach 360!Patrick Sweeney, Superintendent of Schools, Napa Valley Unified School District, California
Outreach360 is an amazing organization. If you or a group are looking to do a service trip abroad, look no further. Outreach360 runs a tight ship and I know that I, and the school I run, will continue to work with Outreach360.Ryan Kelly, Headmaster, Carrollwood Day School, Florida
Our Programs & Causes
Our English program focuses less on the traditional classroom model and instead seeks to promote the unique global exchange between our students and our volunteers that truly makes the language come alive.
Construction | Building Futures
Volunteers joining our construction program should be prepared to be involved in a variety of projects, including manual work involving digging foundations, cement mixing and block laying, installing fencing, constructing running trails, and more. Construction volunteers are building the future for our students!
The Outreach360 Agriculture Program will provide an opportunity for our students to serve and learn. The food production will provide food to the Outreach360 volunteer program, to the on-site student program, and may be used to generate income for the local program!
