"It was honestly a life changing experience in a good way and it really helped me put things into perspective."
Chandler Belfort, Vistamar School
"If your are looking to find peace in yourself while serving others the Dominican Rebublic is definitely the place for you. Everywhere you go, whether it be the orphanage or a small town closeby, the people are always so loving and are absolutley thrilled when they get to spend time with them. Come to Dominican Republic through [Outreach360] in order to make memories that will never be replaced."
Ani Abiedu, Vistamar School
"Esperanza is far from the typical vacation spot, but I have a hard time naming any place that is more full of love, spirit, kindness, and beauty."
Anne Argenta, Wake Forest University
"My [Outreach360] experience in the Dominican Republic is unexplainable. I learned so much about myself, and I wouldn't trade the trip in for anything. Though I can't put it into words, my experience is a feeling inside that you can't get from anything else. By sharing my time with others in need, I have gotten so much back in return."
Lisa Katerman, Wake Forest University
"Although I at first had some doubts, participating in [Outreach360] is definitely one of the best things I've ever done."
Janelle Knot, Wake Forest University
"I will always look back on the week I spent at the Hope of a Child Orphanage as an enriching, enlightening experience."
Jeanne Share, Wake Forest University
"This trip helped to put my entire life into perspective."
Courtney Smith, Wake Forest University
"My experience with [Outreach360] really made me look at life in whole new way. To be able to go down there and work with these orphans and local children who have virtually nothing and yet are the happiest people I've ever met was an incredible eye opener. I realized how much we as Americans take for granted and how much we have in excess material goods that we don't need and some how with all this stuff we still are not happy. And these people (the Dominicans) have so little and yet are so happy and relaxed. It was an amazing trip"
Lindsay Allen, Waldorf School
"In America there is a certain mind set that gets imprinted into your brain when you are a child. Get good grades, so you can get into a good college, go to a good college so you can get a good job, get a good job so you can make a lot of money, make a lot of money so that you can buy a big house, a nice car and all the toys you could want, so that you can finally be happy. But I look around at the people in America and even with all their money they are still looking for happiness. When I go to the Dominican Republic and spend my time with the people there, I don't see people searching for happiness. I see people that are already happy, they don't have material goods or money getting in their way. You see peoples faces, not what they're wearing. You go down the street and people look at you and say hello. They just live life day by day and that's the way life should be."
Lara Dimidjian, Waldorf School
"In the days leading up to my trip to the Dominican Republic, I was very nervous. The only thing I knew about the program was that I was going to be working with orphaned children and that my friend had enjoyed her previous trip. I knew it was a great thing I would be doing, but to be honest I began to question myself on what exactly I was getting myself into. What if the area was dangerous? What if the kids didn't like me? What if the plane crashed? Luckily, I swallowed my fears and left Boston on a plane on Valentine's Day. Even before we got to the Orphanage, on the plane from Miami to Santiago, my mind began to clear, and suddenly I wasn't nervous anymore. I remember flying into Santiago, seeing all the lights and realizing that everything was going to be fine. It was almost like God was telling me that I didn't have to worry, and this was going to be one of the best weeks of my life. He was right. A couple mornings later, after sleeping soundly in the warm, breezy atmosphere of the "cabana", and after eating a delicious breakfast, I went outside. I was sitting there and watching the children play when a little boy came and sat near me, and I noticed he was crying. I asked in Spanish if he was hurt, and he said yes, so I took him to go get a band-aid. And so I made my first Dominican friend, soon to be followed be many others."
Amanda Kehoe, Waldorf School
"Both [Outreach360] trips I have been on have been amazing and the only thing that made leaving easier was the though of coming back again. Now that I have been there twice, it is in my heart and I hope to return many times."
Margot Root, Waldorf School
"Read the volunteer guide all the way through. Clear your mind that you are going to bring happiness to a poor community and sad orphans. The people of the surrounding community are happy, peaceful, content and welcoming. The orphans a part of a big family and consider the orphanage their home."
Anna Walsh
"[Outreach360] was a valuable, down to earth experience that taught me for the first time that it truly is better to give than recieve, and that in doing so, you recieve so much more. The program as a whole is very well run and leaves you with a stress-free time."
Michelle Clark, Washington and Lee University
"It is more than worth it to go there and when you come back it is something that you will never forget."
Adele Flamand-Browne, Washington Montessori School
"I have never had such an amazing week in my life. Every second was amazing and every day teaching brought a huge smile to my face and the kids i was working with. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world."
Margaux Janowicz, Washington Montessori School
"These were two of the most important weeks of my life, and I definitely encourage other people to be part of this experience as well."
Lexi Levine, Washington University in St. Louis
"The highlight of my trip was when Mery Risa vocalized "estrella" time after time...she was so excited with her new word that she couldn't keep a huge, beautiful smile off her face! I miss her!"
Kirsten Abbey, Webster Thomas High School
"I really enjoyed spending time with the kids and the smiles that the kids had on their faces were just amazing! I loved face painting with the kids and seeing the joy that they got from it!"
Krista Bellassai, Webster Thomas High School
"This trip was the best I've ever been on. I will never forget this experience and am so glad that I did it. Seeing what people live like down there and how the littlest things that we did for the kids would make them so happy really opened my eyes. It was an incredible experience."
Michael Felter, Webster Thomas High School
"I can't put into words what this trip did for me. Every moment of the trip was special and unique. The kids at the orphanage have impacted me forever. I thoroughly enjoyed camp and getting to meet other kids from the town. Getting to walk around the town around the orphanage and going to Dajabon really made me appreciate what I have been given. I plan on returning to the orphanage!"
Lindsay Whipple, Webster Thomas High School
"There were multiple highlights of the trip. The most memorable experiences were the trip to Dajabon, playing basketball with the older children at the orphanage, and spending individual time with some of the younger children. Going to Dajabon standing witness to the hectic atmosphere of the market was unlike anything I had ever seen. The furious movement of the crowd and the look of despair on the faces of the Haitians as they rushed from one side of the border to the other and back again was one of the most powerful visions I have ever encountered. The second experience I found memorable was playing basketball with the older children. It seemed as though many of the older children did not receive the same amount of attention on a regular basis as the younger children did. It seemed that every time there was free time the boys were constantly calling us to the basketball court for another game. Win or lose everyone playing had a huge smile on their face while they were playing. The third experience was in truth a collection of small experiences with the younger children. One experience that stands out was playing hopscotch with one of the little girls. She tried to copy every move I made and had the biggest smile on her face the entire time. After we finished playing she traced an outline of me on the concrete with chalk and we drew on it together. The smallest activities put the biggest smile on her face and it was something I will never forget."
Edward Winslow, Webster Thomas High School
"Volunteering with [Outreach360] was easily one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. When as simple act such a smile can elicit so much joy in a child it is enough to melt anyone's heart. The program provides a remarkable opportunity for volunteers to make a difference in a child's life. Reaching out into the surrounding community gives volunteers to learn about local culture as well as give local children the chance to experience something they simply could not without the help of the [Outreach360] program. If anyone is looking for the opportunity to enrich the life of a child while at the same time enriching their own life, [Outreach360] is the program to choose."
Michael Felter, Webster Thomas High School
"This was my third time working with [Outreach360] - and if you didn't, basically, you'd be crazy. It was my first time as a long term volunteer, I was there for 2 months, and it was the best 2 months and the way best way I've spent my money in my life. You go with the objective to serve these children and teach them something. But, you come back feeling as though you've learned so much more from them. They help you change your perspective and gain an appreciation for things. One of my favorite stories was when I was showing one of the older boys some pictures from my school. My roommates and I had scooters and we were riding down the road doing tricks. I was excitedly pointing and explaining the tricks and all he said was "look how beautiful the streets are" over and over. You notice the poor quality of streets in the DR, but for a child to notice and comment on how pretty a street was really hit home for me. I realized how such a simple thing, that we walk on everyday, is a treasure in other places in the world."
Kevin Henchen, Webster Thomas High School
"A person can't appreciate what they have until they realize how little others have."
Katherine Cusato, Webster Thomas High School
"Going and volunteering with [Outreach360] was the best decision I ever made. My life is officially forever changed and I loved every minute of being there."
Allison Rickey, Webster Thomas High School
"This program is one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life. The children at the orphanage and at the community have impacted my life in such a huge way. It is unlike anything you will ever experience in the United States, and the memories you will take away from this experience will last a lifetime."
Kimberly Rugg, Webster Thomas High School
"Tons of people talk about going on volunteer trips in a different country and how incredible that would be, but few ever actually do it. Well, it is incredible. Jump right in and go for it; you won't regret it."
Mallory Schmackpfeffer, Webster Thomas High School
"[Outreach360] is an experience that everyone should go through. It opens your eyes to a whole different world and lifestyle that people just don't understand until it's something that they become a part of. I have proudly volunteered on 2 separate occasions and plan to in the future."
Michael Felter, Webster Thomas High School
"[Outreach360] goes beyond just volunteer work. It is an experience that changes your life for the better through service, love and creating lasting relationships with your fellow volunteers. You will never forget the smile you put on a child's face or the embrace they give you."
Edward Winslow, Webster Thomas High School
"[Outreach360] is more than a service organization. It's a family. It's a bond and it's a life changing experience. A simple week with [Outreach360] is nothing but simple. I learned more lifelong lessons about gratitude, compassion, love, myself, and life in general in one week with [Outreach360] than I feel I could have learned in years of other experiences. For me volunteering with [Outreach360] stands out as a once in a life time opportunity. It's such a unique experience to serve others yet you walk away feeling like it was others who served you."
Kelly Winslow, Webster Thomas High School
"My only regret about going to Esperanza was only being there for a week. When people ask about my trip, I don't even have words to describe it. Of course, "amazing, incredible, rewarding" cover it, but they don't explain the emotions and revelations I experienced or the human bonds I created."
Katie Annand, Wesleyan University
"What a wonderful experience! In addition to the gratifying feeling you get teaching the kids English and math, you end up having so much fun running around and playing with the kids and giving them caballitos (piggy-back rides), playing hand-clapping games, etc... I was nervous at first that the language barrier would be a problem, since I don't speak any Spanish. But the kids are so loving and embracing toward the volunteers that our communication through miming and smiles was enough to foster strong bonds with the kids."
Rachel Billow, Wesleyan University
"Getting involved with [Outreach360] was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Working in Esperanza was an absolutely amazing experience that I would suggest to anyone and will no doubt remember for the rest of my life."
Rebecca Joffe-Halpern, Wesleyan University
"It was a great experience. The people were so warm, friendly and welcoming. We had a lot of responsibility - most of us taught two elementary school classes per day. It was challenging, really rewarding, and tons of fun."
Suzy Sacher, Wesleyan University
"This experience was absolutely incredible! I loved every moment of the trip, and wished I could have had more time in Monte Criste with the children. This was definitely the most rewarding experience of my life--I cannot wait to return!"
Anastasia Johnson, West Chester University
"I would tell anyone who is thinking about taking this trip to jump right in and do it! It will be an experience you will never forget! [Outreach360] offers such a wonderful opportunity to do something good in the world and to meet and work with some amazing people. This experience will give you a greater appreciation for everything you already have in your life, and you will come away with more love in your heart than you ever thought possible!"
Jennifer Sieg, West Chester University
"OO is a great organization and will give you a wonderful eye opening experience. They are continuing to develop and grow and you could be part of that opportunity to make a difference! Looking to work with children or get your hands dirty by building new things. Jump Right In to OO and be a part of this awesome organization, I know you will have the time of your life!"
Jana Smith, Western Michigan University
"Go with your mind open and you will return with it full."
Brian D'Amico, Western New England College
"I have been on many prior Alternative Breaks - it is hard to put it into words the experience, but I can give you an idea by imagining the smile you gave a child at the end of the day."
Laura Dennison, Western New England College
"An experience truly indescribable in words alone, heart warming and amazing can not begin to start."
Matthew Haley, Western New England College
"This trip was life changing and eye opening, I loved teaching the children and seeing their faces light up with laughter."
Chantel Lafond, Western New England College
"If you are satisfied with your life the way it is, do not come, because you will leave a changed person."
Dan Nicewonger, Western New England College
"I've never been so privileged and thankful to be a part of something as I am to be a part of [Outreach360]."
Deana Marie, Western New England College
"Don't think twice, the time is now to make a difference in a child's life."
Matthew Tees, Western New England College
"The trip was a lesson in life, love, compassion, and friendship for me. If anyone is thinking of going on an [Outreach360] trip, I encourage you to jump in with great excitement. The boys don't care if your Spanish is horrible or if you don't have any great ideas of how to keep them from being bored. The truth is that they would love to just spend time with you, reading a book, playing baseball, throwing rocks, or even just simply picking up trash. The boys do not love picking up trash, but they would enjoy the time it gave them with you. [Outreach360] has a sign that says, '"Availability matters more than ability,"' which is very true."
Kelly Koenig, Western Oregon Unviersity
"Open eyes Change lives. If you open your heart and your eyes to everything around you, then your life will change for the better from your experience. You will grow as a person, and you will not return home the same person as when you left."
Rachel Webster, Westminster College of Utah
"[Outreach360] is a good cause, because there is a lot of need. I know a lot of service organization preach that it is a making a difference, well [Outreach360] actually does. I like the experience that I had there, and it was an overall incredible experience."
Thinh Doan, Westminster College of Utah
"If someone were to ask me and ask if an [Outreach360] trip was worth it, I'd definitely say it was. It was a very powerful experience to say the least. As a third year pre-med student I've still been apprehensive about becoming a doctor, but after working in the clinics and seeing first hand what kind of service I could be doing, I knew it was the right choice for me. It was exactly where I could see myself in the future. What I would tell you is that it's not an easy trip, you'll be doing service, but that's why your going. I felt that I made a difference, however small my contribution was. It is a good organization with a lot of potential for growth. I'd say go for it. Really take a trip to work outside yourself, and I think you'll agree that it is worth it in the end."
Thinh Doan, Westminster College of Utah
"Interning with [Outreach360] was a fantastic experience. I was able to meet so many fantastic Dominican people and American volunteers. I can't think of a better way to spend a summer, and I wish I could have stayed longer."
Valerie Devlin, Wheaton College
"Waking up each morning to the sun shining and the roosters crowing was so inspiring. The people of the Dominican, while they have little, give so much. This was an experience I will never forget."
Stephanie Bauer, Wheaton College
"I have only begun to understand what an impact this trip has made on my life and my outlook on everything I encounter. Not only do I feel like I brought the children a few extra smiles, laughs, and new perspectives, but I know that they gave me just as much if not more to think about and cherish. I will always hold them in my heart and plan to continue to support this program and hopefully others just like it."
Debbie Case, Wheaton College
"I have done many outreach and community service projects, but what made this one different is that the directors and volunteers of [Outreach360] were each incredible people. I was blown away by the interests and backgrounds of the different people that this program attracted, and like the point was made- you leave something there or take something with you, [Outreach360] becomes a part of you when you leave. You are [Outreach360] and you will make a huge difference."
Vanessa Galan, Wheaton College
"Not only will you be able to serve some of the most caring and passionate children you will ever meet, but you will have the opportunity to live simply. This type of living environment allows for personal growth that one cannot always find in the United States."
Anna Kratky, Wheaton College
"Working with [Outreach360] was the most amazing experience of my life! It changed my views of the world and moved me in so many ways. The children are absolutely amazing and in their poverty they are so much more wealthy then we as Americans are for they value the truth of life and are consistently loving and caring of each other. There hearts are in the right place and they can teach us all something about the true values in life. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone."
Abbie Sewall, Wheaton College
"[Outreach360] was one of the best experiences of my life. Having been fortunate enough to have traveled a lot in my life, the experience I received from [Outreach360] definitely made my trip to Monte Cristi and the Dominican Republic one of the best trips I have ever taken. I never viewed myself as much of a teacher before, but all that changed the moment I stepped into the public schools in Monte Cristi and found myself striving to make a difference in the lives of the children. All the children at the orphanage were amazing and each had such an awesome personality that could truly never be replicated. [Outreach360] definitely came through and delivered on all its promises."
Justin Balint, Wilkes University
"If someone called me to ask about OO I would tell then not to hesitate in taking a group with them. It is the best program we've found that makes coordinating these programs effortless. As an adviser for Alternative Break Programs, I know that OO will provide all the resources we need to make a successful and enriching program. Not only are you taking students to serve at an orphanage, but you are also helping them teach English in the schools in the Dominican. But I have to say that this program provides so much more, what you are really accomplishing is learning about yourself and your abilities. It is truly amazing."
Megan Boone, Wilkes University
"As an advisor to a university group, I can not say enough great things about OO. They were a dream to work with. We did not have to worry about anything. We had a teleconference with Bryan at which time he was able to answered all of our questions. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was amazing, and the transportation was so appreciated. What made our trip so amazing was the time we spent in the local school system teaching English. To be honest, I feel these children taught us so much more than we could have ever taught them. OO helped us see the true beauty of Monti Christi, it is these memories and experiences that have encouraged several of my students to volunteer with OO on a more long term basis."
Megan Boone, Wilkes University
"The trip to the DR and working with [Outreach360] has been the experience of a lifetime. I have grown so much as an individual and have come to appreciate the things I have more. I plan to make each day count and to live in the moment."
Kaitlyn DeFacis, Wilkes University
"If someone were to ask me my input about going on an [Outreach360] trip i would tell them GO!! It will be a trip of a lifetime. You will change the lives of children and without even knowing it, your life will be changed as well. This is a expereince that cannot be explained in words, you must experience for yourself"
Melissa Dickerson, Wilkes University
"Highlights include stepping off the plane in Santiago. Meeting the kids at the orphanage and getting to know them. The students faces our first day there. Teaching kids English and working on lesson plans. Singing and playing games with the kids in the school. The last day of teaching the school had a huge celebration for us it was one of the best days of my life. Going to the beach was also an amazing experience. I could go on and on about this trip. I have so many memories to last me a lifetime."
Krista Hill, Wilkes University
"There were so many highlights to this trip. The people at the orphanage were so welcoming. The food was amazing! The children at the orphanage and the children we've taught in Monte Cristi have truly touched my heart. I love that this organization exists, it really is making a difference! Also, being immersed into the culture was such an eye opening experience for me. When I came back to the states, I felt so grateful for what I have. I would love to do this again sometime!"
Amber Kaminski, Wilkes University
"I LOVED every bit of it! Teaching in the schools, getting to know the kids at the orphanage, getting to know the team leaders and my fellow volunteers from other schools. This trip has literally changed my life. It was the deciding factor in whether or not I wanted to change my major (which I did, from Computer Science to Education). The friends and the memories that you make on this trip, even if it is just for one week, will stay with you and forever affect you. My outlook on life and my future has changed so much, and all for the better. Thank you, OO!"
Frank Kopyta, Wilkes University
"i would tell my friends to definitely do it, because it really is a life changing experience and it fills you with this happiness that can't be described with words."
Hannah Laimer, Wilkes University
"This is a life changing experience that makes you want to go back to do it over and over again. There is no way I will not volunteer at [Outreach360] again."
Angela Nicolosi, Wilkes University
"If you care about helping others and really want to feel like you made a difference, [Outreach360] is a great place to start. Through the organization and dedication of team leaders, OO executives and OO volunteers (remember, you ARE [Outreach360]!), a great atmosphere is made for having a ton of fun, while doing some awesome service-work. I plan to do a lot of service-work abroad (through various organizations and hopefully OO and MSF) so this was a great place for me to jump right in and get a feel for what it's like. I would encourage everyone to do this if you get the chance provided you can bring a positive attitude and dedication to make this a great experience!"
Derek Nye, Wilkes University
"Being adaptable is very important as each day entails an unexpected events such as torrential downpours when least expected. When the schools were closed, we had to adapt to the situation and make the best of it; we did that by playing mud frisbee and then later making string jewelry with the orphans. You can see the direct impact of teaching/playing with the children; they respect you and develop a special bond that you never want to put in the past. Spanish or no Spanish, the presence of being there dissipitates the energy to the children as their energy positively affects us."
Nitasa Sahu, Wilkes University
"It was fantastic!!"
Erin Schaeffer, Wilkes University
"After my service trip with [Outreach360] in the Dominican Republic, I came back to the U.S. with the powerful outlook that I can do anything in life, and for that I am thankful."
Emilee Strubeck, Wilkes University
"The first day in our afternoon class, after class,a little girl came up to me and gave me a note that said in Spannish,"Give me a memory.""
Taylor Bridges, Wilkes University
"Thank you so much for this opportunity! It was life changing, and thanks to almost 900 pictures and a handful of videos taken during my week there, I will never EVER forget it!"
Erin Schaeffer, Wilkes University
"If someone were to ask me my input about going on an [Outreach360] trip i would tell them GO!! It will be a trip of a lifetime. You will change the lives of children and without even knowing it, your life will be changed as well. This is a experience that cannot be explained in words, you must experience it for yourself."

"Working with [Outreach360] will change your life forever. You will make memories and friendships to last you a lifetime. THIS IS IT!"
Krista Hill, Wilkes University
"If you touch just one life, you've made a difference."
Dorinda McHenry, Wilkes University
"[Outreach360] provides a wonderful opportunity to serve those of the Dominican Republic or Nicaragua. My decision to join [Outreach360] for a month long internship was one of the smartest decision I've made. My experience with [Outreach360] has changed my life and I would not change the experience I've had for anything in the world. I would encourage anyone I meet to join [Outreach360]."
Melissa Dickerson, Wilkes University
"you really actually see yourself making a difference when you're with the kids. you see how much they appreciate you being there and you know that everything you're doing makes a difference."
Marjorie Gelso, Wilkes University
"I really enjoyed my time with [Outreach360] and always remember it as a positive experience in my life. I'm really glad I took the time out of my winter break to go to the Dominican Republic and serve at the orphanage. Those children will always be in my heart."
Laura Traub, College of William & Mary
"do it. Definitely, every person who goes has something different to offer, and that little something can change a child's life. Outreach360 was perfect because we really were in the culture, and we were able to make the children feel at home while teaching them music, English, and little crafts. Even if the children don't learn much, it is a great experience for you, so go with a open heart, don't expect anything, and be excited where ever you go. You will love it."
Hannah Wilson
"go for it!"
Lynne Wilson
"I had a wonderful time--you should do it! We had a particular experience because we got to work most of the time with the director, Thomas, who was there for the week. I loved working with him. Our time with him was a little less camp-like and we had so many poignant comments and conversations with him--I learned so much from being with him."
Mariah Wilson
"incredible experience for our family, Outreach 360 made it so user-friendly, working with the children in the batey, orphanage and neighborhood was life changing. it was not only meaningful, but fun for each member of our family."
Ann Henstrom
"Outreach360 is a great place to start getting informed about issues in other countries concerning education and other issues. It will provide you with hands-on experiences and interactions with people from another country. If you go into this program with a happy attitude and if you're ready to jump right in, you'll certainly have a pleasant experience."
McKenna Hill
"You should definitely do it, because its an amazing experience and you will feel so close to everyone there"
megan rohrer
"What a beautiful experience of sharing laughter smiles, and love to the children of Monte Cristi. Looking into the eyes of the children of Monte Cristi Looking into the eyes of one child and knowing you have made a different makes it worth every minute."
Erin Dowling
"How do I put into words the experiences of my week with [Outreach360]? There are no words that can do it justice. No words to describe what it is to meet a kid on Sunday and have him feel like family before the week is out. No words to describe the poverty in our own lives when we see all the love that these people have and give."
Lance Rogerson
"How do I put into words the experiences of my week with Oprhanage Outreach? There are no words that can do it justice. No words to describe what it is to meet a kid on Sunday and have him feel like family before the week is out. No words to describe the poverty in our own lives when we see all the love that these people have and give."

"This trip was my first time traveling alone. I was leaving my native country alone on an airplane which I had never done before. From my stateside point of view, I was terrified. What if I got there and was miserable? What if can't communicate? What if the kids are so jaded to people leaving every week that they don't want to form bonds with me? What if I don't even get to see any of the Dominican Republic? Well, they were all silly worries. By the end of the two weeks that I spent in Montecristi, I did not want to go home. Not only was I not miserable, but I picked out a house so when I come back to live there, I won't have to look too much. :) Communication wasn't an issue either. Even though I am a Spanish major and had a little easier time understanding the kids, the other people I worked with who knew no Spanish had no real problems communicating. A hug is the same in every language. The kids were so happy to have us there. We were tackled as soon as we walked off the bus. With volunteers always offering an environment of love and sincere caring, the kids flock to it. I got to see a ridiculous amount of Montecristi. First we walked everywhere which was so cool because we talked to a lot of the residents along the way. We also got to see key landmarks in Montecristi and travel an hour and a half away to Dajabon a border city. We were able to stand on the bridge and the see Haitians and Dominicans selling in the market and what supplies they brought back and forth across the bridge. This experience was truly one of the most amazing trips of my life and I would do it again in a heartbeat. There was not one truly bad experience that wasn't turned around into one of the most fun things on the trip (there were a lot). Do it! Take this time of your life-your right now-and come down to Montecristi. There is nothing like life here. You will value the trip the rest of your life."
Covington Avent

"O.O. is aw-inspiring and magical place where inexplicable moments of joy related to the growth of a child build upon each other for a volunteer experience in which you receive more than you give."

"The overall experience was fantastic, but I especially enjoyed seeing a difference in the children we taught at Frasico Javier from the first day, to the third (our last). It was tough at first, with kids acting out and seemingly careless as to what we were teaching (or trying to), yet by the end of the week, seeing even the kids that were "troublemakers" running up to us, excited to demonstrate what they were learning was amazing. It is important to realize that every little moment we spent with the kids at the orphanage as well was a recipricated learning experience."
Elizabeth Craig, Xavier University

"I would tell them that any trip like this is what you make of it, but this organization is special because they provide so many ways for you to be involved and participate that it is hard not to feel like you are doing something valuable. You honestly are [Outreach360] when you go, and nothing good happens without the combined efforts of your team. I left with a sense that God had accomplished remarkable things through me and my team while we were there. The children were beautiful, as were all the people I was fortunate to work with and meet. If you are thinking about doing something like this, this organization is the way you should go."
