"I would tell anyone who wants to make a difference in the world to go on this trip. Although, you may not feel like you've made a big difference, it all adds up, little by little! This trip was an amazing experience for me and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The people who run the organization are incredible, everyone is friendly, and making the children smile and having everyone be so thankful for your presence there, makes you feel so good. I can't wait to go back next year!"
Patricia Wojewoda, Rutgers University
"[Outreach360] is an experience that will brighten your heart and mind and allow new doors to open in your life. Until you have volunteered, you cannot understand that appreciation that the community has for you and that warms your heart instantly."
Lindsey Pachuta, Rutgers University
"The trip was a truly phenomenal experience for me. I went into this trip, like most people, feeling that it would be a truly rewarding and humbling experience. It turned out it was that and so much more. I felt so fantastic this past week with feelings of gratitude, appreciation, and a whole new perspective. I've never had anyone appreciate the work I've done for them as much as the people in the DR did. It was a truly refreshing and revitalizing experience. I also feel I gained a lot of insight into an entirely different culture. In the states we are born, raised, and bred to be ethnocentric; experiences such as the one I had with OO allows you to look at yourself and our society critically and to rethink many aspects of your life. I really would like to thank everyone involved at OO program for the best experience I could have asked for because the trip was everything I could imagined it would be and ten times more."
Candace Sneed, Rutgers University

And then to be able to contribute something exciting and fun to all those students' lives is amazing."
Erin Delaney, Rutgers University

"[Outreach360] isn't just something you can experience once and be satisfied, you will always look for an opportunity to come back for more. After taking my second trip to Monte Cristi I had the opportunity to work in the same school I had taught at for a week the year before. To have the kids remember you shows what a lasting impact [Outreach360] has on the community."

"There are not enough words to describe how phenomenal my experience was. It's hard to choose only a few highlights of my trip because every single moment was truly amazing. If I had to choose, I would say seeing the faces of all the kids when we walked into the classroom everyday in Laguna Salada. They were so happy to learn and so eager. Also just getting to know the boys at the orphanage in Jaibon and playing with them and just seeing how they live their life."
Jenna Mahaffy, Saginaw Valley State University

"[Outreach360] is a wonderful way to use your skills in teaching, healthcare or just sharing of yourself with someone else. They cultivate your talants and use them to achieve success in nurturing a community of wonderful children and adults who don't have 1/4 of what we do. "Don't judge a book by its cover. The hardest day is the fist day, when you finally settle in that is when the majic happens. As Dr. Steve said "when you get it, you know it". It's like getting bit by an OO fly, the initial sting is uncomfortable but then the metamorphisis occurs and you realize how much love is all around you along with all the comradory each person starts to develop and ultimately you feel like your at a big picnic camping holiday and you start to cherish each moment. I already miss it and I just got home two hours ago."
Bonnie Bingham, Suffolk County Community College
"My experience provided me with satisfaction in two areas. One, showing our nursing students the various roles of a professional nurse and two, meeting the basic health needs of the Dominican people as a provider. I hope that an important realization for all volunteers is that there are more similarities among people, both American and foreign, than differences. In helping others, we help ourselves become better human beings."

"There are many options for service trips. OO offers a unique and special and inspirational trip where you can include family or friends, teach, provide medical or educational services to people who really need and appreciate them and you can live with the orphans and get a feel of their day to day lives. There might be other places that provide an experience like this, but I haven't found them!"

The combination is perfect!"

"My [Outreach360] trip was amazing! The boys at the orphanage, the volunteer, and Tom and Jane all make this program so wonderful. I couldn't have done anything that was more fun or rewarding with my spring break."

"I was really nervous about going down to Dominican for Spring Break. I thought that I would be so busy that it wouldn't really feel like a break, but when you're there, it feels like everything is kind of outside of time. It's slower and more day to day, moment to moment kind of living. By the end of the week I was mentally refreshed, physically healthier, and completely revitalized. I came back to school feeling great about what I had done and what [Outreach360] had done for me. I really felt like I received more than I gave."

These kids need love most of all and for one week the other volunteers and I were able to show them that it does exist in the world today; even among all the pain and loneliness, sadness and hatred, love exists and is in each one of us. Just as important is hope which goes hand in hand with love; hope for a better tomorrow, for a future, not only for the Dominican Republic but for each child and their families. That was what I did over my spring break - I taught love and hope - and it changed my life."

Cara Fox, St. Francis University
"That it will be one of the most rewarding experiences of their lifetime because it is truly service as Jesus taught us: "Whatever you do for the least of my children, you do unto Me.""
Margaret Morales, St. Francis University
"The OO group was amazingly organized and I felt like the whole trip went off without a hitch; everyone works well with one another to provide amazing services to the children at the orphanage, the community in the clinics, and the children in the schools; you will leave feeling like you truly made a difference.""
Jeremy Gorsuch, St. Francis University
"The health corps of [Outreach360] is a wonderful way for a medical professional to get involved in medical mission work. The most difficult part of medical mission work can be the logistical planning. [Outreach360] takes care of all the logistics, so the professional can focus on the care of the patient. It is also very easy for one person to get involved. Instead of having to organize a large group, individuals can join other groups with [Outreach360]."
Cara Fox, St. Francis University
"As my first time doing missions work with [Outreach360], I realized what an incredible organization it is! I think they maximize the resources they have and truly serve the community they are situated in and many others all around. They have great vision and guidelines for how to maximize each persons experience. There are also so many ways for any person to volunteer: labor projects, physical therapy, medical clinics, teaching in the schools, and more."
Emily Howarth, St. Francis University
"The biggest highlight of my trip was working with the people in the PT clinic. It was so refreshing to know that every one of our patients was truly motivated to get better. The people were just so grateful for the small things we were able to do with them with our "divine hands". Each and every one of the patients I worked with left a truly lasting impact on my life."
Shannon Leyden, St. Francis University
"A personal highlight of the trip for me was being able to teach public health in the local school. I am not a medical major, yet being able to teach about this subject was really rewarding, as I saw that this could truly benefit the children. Using the feedback we got from our medical team who was treating patients in the local area helped us to plan our lessons so that we could teach the children what the medical team said the people were uneducated about. I was very pleased with the amount of time we had to experience the culture. Everything from our walks to the school, the talks that the [Outreach360] gave on different topics, meals of traditional Dominican food, and the trip to the beach provided our group with a genuine immersion in the Dominican culture."
Rachel Rodgers, St. Francis University
"[Outreach360] is an one of a kind experience. While helping a country help itself, you learn so much about yourself and what is truly important in life. It is an experience everyone should have the chance to do in their lifetime."
Kiely Flynn, St. Francis University
"It's exhausting and you're without any material things but you're left with a completely satisfied feeling at the end of each day."
Justina Sweigart, St. Francis University
"The impact of this trip can't be measured from the first day. It's all about the improvement you see throughout the week in what the kids have learned and how your own abilities have been strengthened. By the end of the week, you can look back and see how incredibly blessed you are to have had such an amazing experience."
Bethany Bloise, St. Francis University
"I would have to tell them to go for it. There is no other experience like it, and it is unbelievably rewarding. Just feeling the love from all the children is enough to make me want to go back, not to mention the great memories."
Brittany Bryan, St. John's-Ravenscourt School
"[Outreach360] is an incredible experience. You create such strong bonds with these amazing kids and they teach you things you thought you had already learnt. You will never want to leave. This trip will forever remain one of the best weeks of my life."
Paula Ethans, St. John's-Ravenscourt School
"The [Outreach360] program provides a terrific opportunity to provide service and love to children who need them, but it also allows the children to help volunteers to recognize and foster special qualities of personal growth within themselves. A hug, a amile, and time spent in companionship and friendship have no language barriers."
Ray Grynol, St. John's-Ravenscourt School
"At the end of the trip, you realize that although these children have so little in their lives compared to you, they give you so much more than you could ever give to them just by being happy and playing with you every day. At the end of the trip I was a much better person with a much better perspective on life, and for that I am eternally in debt to these kids."
Dror Liebenthal, St. John's-Ravenscourt School
"It is the best decision I have ever made, and I'll make the decision to go back again. It is a breath taking experience, that I will never forget it. The children make you feel so happy, and you can't help but leave a bit of your heart there with them."
Emily Quinton, St. John's-Ravenscourt School
"It goes beyond revealing how much you have in your life and lets you see that those who appear to be in extreme poverty don'??t have as little at you may have thought."
Rachel Beaupre, St. John's-Ravenscourt School
"It makes you realize that the things we do and material possessions we gain aren't as important as experiences and love."
