Winter 2011/2012 Program a Success!

Posted on February 01, 2012
The holidays were a busy time in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua for Outreach360 volunteers. Over 200 volunteers joined us in December and January to provide educational opportunities to children in disadvantaged communities. NC State, Oregon State University, Transylvania University, Indiana University, Towson University, University of Missouri, University of Wisconsin and a number of families and individuals were all involved.

The Jaibon boys received a trip to the zoo with volunteers, which by their enjoyment here seems like a successful Christmas present.
Why yes, teaching in Jaibon IS that fun! Hannah, who stayed in the Dominican Republic for two weeks, sure thinks so.
The O360 Ambassadors had an incredible time meeting the women of Las Curenas black pottery cooperative!
At the second Tarde de Diversion of the semester at the English Institute in Monte Cristi, Brianna from Kalamazoo, Michigan, teaches students to play Ninja.
